FITness

As I write this, we're still well within the twelve o'clock hour and yours truly has already walked a total of 1.5 hours. Yahoo! My route looked something like this:

  • Walk to the nail place on Duluth. Be told I'm too early.
  • Mosey along St. Laurent, then back 'round to Duluth, in search of coffee. (Acquire coffee + date square.)
  • Eat date square while walking back to the nail place. Get nails done. (They look beautiful thanks for asking.)
  • Trek up St. Laurent in weather that had become nothing short of sun-filled. Flannel top and boots (very outdoor-appropriate only an hour earlier) suddenly transformed into sweat-inducing torture chamber. Get home, collapse (oh my beloved couch!), guzzle water.

Not the most fitness-focused, granted, but the legwork (ha) is irrefutably there. And to top it off, I'm trying a yoga class at 2pm. YES I've tried it before, kinda hated it and more or less swore it off. But a girl can change. Right? Right.

Update: Yoga fared better than Soul Cycle -- which I will write about, as soon as I regain feeling in my butt crack. Major takeaway from the workout? Girl needs to work on her balance, upper body strength, and flexibility. (Is that really any kind of surprise?) Weirdly, I'm looking forward to trying another next week. Who am I??
